Research Excllence Award 2011: Dr. Watfa has been awarded the prestegious Best Researcher Award in UOWD, 2011. This is the second time Dr. Watfa has won this award (previously awarded in 2009).

Invited Keynote Speaker: Dr. Watfa has been invited as a keynote speaker in IEEE ICSCCN conference, India, July 2011.
Conference Paper Presentation: Dr. Watfa travelled to Bangkok, Thailand for a conference presentation in june 2011.

Stars of Science Coverage 2012

Research Award: M.Watfa have been awarded: "The Research Excellence Award 2009" in UOWD. This award is a very prestigious award that recognizes a faculty member who demonstrated distinction in research and has made a significant contribution by leading and actively participating in high quality local, regional and international research events, activities and initiatives.
Book Launch: Dr. Watfa's new book “Coverage Strategies in Wireless Sensor Networks: A rigorous analysis by Mohamed Khalil Watfa”, which has recently been published will be launched. The new Australian Ambassador to the UAE, His Excellency Douglas Trappett, has been invited to visit UOWD on 23rd November at around 1 pm, and he will launch the book.
Conference Presentation: Dr. M.Watfa was in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in Dec 2009 to present his research work entitled: "Building Performance Measure Tools for Wireless Sensor Networks Operating Systems" in MOMM 2009 (http://www.iiwas.org/conferences/momm2009/).
UAE Mathalone Contest: Dr. M.Watfa organized the first Mathematics Contest in the UAE hosted by University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD) in collaboration with the American University of Sharjah in Feb 13, 2010.
